Volunteers are needed to help “raise the roof” on a pavilion being constructed as an outdoor classroom at Andalusia Elementary School.

Science teacher Deb Hughes said the Dixon Foundation has provided funding for the structure, and local contractor Brownie Woodall has agreed to pour the foundation and work with volunteers to “raise the roof.”

The effort is slated to begin at 6:30 a.m. on Sat., July 10, and skilled and unskilled volunteers are welcome.
