Qualifying began yesterday, Tues., July 6, for city board of education elections in Andalusia and Opp.
Qualifying ends at 5 p.m. on July 20.
In Andalusia, the seats for Districts 1, 3 and 5 will be on the ballot.
In Opp, the seats for  in Districts 1, 2 and 4 will be on the ballot.
The election will be on Tues., Aug. 24.
To qualify for office, a candidate must be a registered voter in the district in which he or she will run and pay a $50 qualifying fee.
