CURTIS RUEDE

Curtis Ruede, 4, of Andalusia, died Fri., July 16, 2010, at the home of his grandmother in Opp.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thurs., July 22, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Lee officiating and burial following in the Harmony Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Survivors include his mother, Kimberly Harris of Andalusia; his father, Eric Ruede of Bellingham, Wash.; brother, Braxton Davis; sister, MaKenzi Moody, both of

Andalusia; maternal grandparents, Denise and James Harrell of Ariton; paternal grandmother, Glendia Powell of Andalusia; paternal great-grandmother, Pat Davis of Andalusia; and maternal great-grandmother, Josephine Harris of Andalusia.

Serving as pallbearers are Chris Harris and Brad Harrell.

JAMES BARFIELD MERRILL

James Barfield Merrill, 73, of Rose Hill, died Sat., July 17, 2010, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., today, Tues., July 20, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Morgan and the Rev. David Barton officiating and burial following in Bethel Cemetery in Babbie.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Merrill of Rose Hill; his son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Janet Merrill; a daughter, Cierra Merrill; his grandchildren, Kayla Davis, Ryan Merrill and Aubrey Merrill; and great-grandchild, Devin Davis.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Merrill, Wyatt Sasser, Chris Thomasson, John Wallace, Tommy Ward and Bobby Whatley.

FAYE SOWELL COOPER

Mrs. Faye Sowell Cooper, 72, of Andalusia and Pensacola, Fla., passed away Wed., July 14, 2010, at her son’s home in Birmingham.

Funeral services were held Mon., July 19, at the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Magnolia Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two sons, Marcus Brian Cooper of Birmingham and Ernest William (Bill) Cooper of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandsons, Damon Brian Cooper, Ryan Adam Cooper, Brady Nicholas Cooper and Zachary Noah Cooper; one granddaughter, Zoie Abbigail Cooper; her mother, Lorena Parsons Hayes of Andalusia; two brothers, James Larry (Geri) Jones of Deatsville and Gary Glen (Martha) Hayes of Andalusia; two sisters, Jean Sowell (Ralph) Smith of Pensacola and Bonita Hayes (Ralph) Platner of Kirkwood, N.Y.; a very dear cousin, Virginia Ballard Brawner of Andalusia, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Marcus Clayton Sowell; and a grandson, Nicholas Joshua Cooper.

She retired from Monsanto in Pensacola after having worked there for 30 years. She split her retirement years between Pensacola, Andalusia and Birmingham.
