Crews are demolishing the old shirt factory building on the Alatex property recently acquired by the city. The city plans to develop the property as a light industrial park. Mayor Earl Johnson told council members Tuesday night that the city is in discussions with the Chamber of Commerce to renovate the office building on the property for a new Chamber office.
