David Gerald Lucas

David Gerald Lucas, 84, of Dozier, died Sat., Sept. 4, 2010, in the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tues., Sept. 7, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Karthaus and Minister Herb Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Lucas of Dozier; his son and daughter-in-law, David Gene and Paula Lucas of Huntsville; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Harold Clark; his grandchildren, David G. Lucas II, Adrienne Lucas, Robert Adam Lucas, and Samantha Clark; a great-grandson, David Griffin Lucas; two sisters, Carolyn Lambert of Andalusia and Amy Bullock of Red Level; and several nieces and nephews.

Vivian Lofton Ward

Mrs. Vivian Lofton Ward of Bay Springs, Miss., died at her residence Thursday night, Sept. 2, 2010. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sun., Sept. 5, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with Minister Jack Lunsford officiating. Interment followed at Mobley Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Ward is survived by three daughters, Gayle (Jack) Lunsford of Taylorsville, Miss., Dale Whatley of Birmingham, Ala., and Anita (Jim) Summers of Jena, La.; two sons, Gary (Judy) Ward of Soso, Miss., and Craig Ward of Pelham, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
