BOE OKs $15.6M budget approved

The Andalusia Board of Education approved a $15.6 million budget for the next fiscal year Monday night.

The $15.6 million consists of 57.2 percent in state allocations, 18.8 percent from federal sources, 16.43 percent form local tax revenues, 2.7 percent from local school revenues, 1.87 in other local revenues and 2.9 percent in other revenues.

The system budgeted for $8.7 million to be spend on instructional services; $2.1 million on instruction support, $1.45 on operation and maintenance; $1.4 on auxiliary services;$737,000 on administrative services; $484,000 on debt services; and $607,000 on other expenditures, for a total of $15.5 million.
