A Covington County grand jury has indicted a Dozier man accused of giving a girl alcohol and having inappropriate sexual contact with her in 2010.

Je-remy Donnie Sorrells, 29, was first arrested in July for the incident. Sorrells was allegedly an acquaintance of the victim and was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, enticing a child for immoral purposes and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was arrested and released on a $23,000 bond.

On Tuesday, Sorrells was rearrested on the grand jury indictment and is currently being held in the county jail under a $250,000 bond.
