JOE WHEELER COBURN

Joe Wheeler Coburn, 82, of Evergreen, passed away Oct. 3, 2010, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Conecuh County. He was a retired mechanic and racecar driver.

He is survived by a son, James W. Coburn of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Barbara Gantt and Wanda Cowart, both of Evergreen, and Laura Herman of Crestview, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Coburn, also of Evergreen; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today, Tues., Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen with interment following in Magnolia Cemetery in Evergreen.

JOHNNY RAYMOND STOWERS JR.

Johnny Raymond Stowers Jr., 78, of Evergreen, passed away Oct. 3, 2010, at his residence.

He was born July 9, 1932, in Red Level. He was a driver/trainer for Poole Truck Lines.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wed., Oct. 6, at the Chapel of Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen with interment following in Magnolia Cemetery in Evergreen. Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cope Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Bette Stowers of Evergreen; a son, Johnny Raymond Stowers III of Crossville, Tenn.; daughters, Kathy S. Knight of Repton and Dana S. Cook of Evergreen; brother, Joe R. Stowers of Greenville; long-time friend, Jerry Evers, also of Evergreen; three grandchildren, and three-great grandchildren.

JAMES CURTIS DUNN

James Curtis Dunn, 74, passed away Mon., Oct. 4, 2010, in Fairhope.

He is a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and he retired from McDuffie Coal Terminal State Docks in 2005.

He is survived by a son, Jeff Dunn of Spanish Fort, and one sister, Evelyn Elliott of Bradley.

Visitation will be on Wed., Oct. 6, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.

Graveside services will be held on Thurs., Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at Wilson Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
