At least two people were injured in two nearly simultaneous traffic accidents near Robinson Park Saturday. Sgt. Mike Finley with the Andalusia Police Department said both vehicles appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed on Railroad Avenue, when the first vehicle left the roadway and struck a street sign and then a group of trees. The second vehicle, which was directly behind the first, followed suit, only this time striking a mailbox and utility pole. Finley said both drivers were transported to Andalusia Regional Hospital for treatment. The accident remains under investigation, he said. Photo courtesy of Robert Evers
