The Opp Bobcats shut out the Slocomb Redtops 28-0 in the final week of region action.

Opp’s Richard Davis struck first on a 7-yard touchdown run with 34 seconds left in the first quarter, and the PAT was good.

The Bobcats scored again with 11:27 left in the second quarter on a 5-yard touchdown pass from T.J. Register to Drew Bowers, and the PAT was successful.

In the second half, Davis scored again on a 4-yard touchdown run with 9:48 left in the third quarter. The point after was good.

The final touchdown of the game came with 5:00 left in the third quarter on a 21-yard touchdown pass from Register to Drew Wilson, and a successful PAT to seal the 28-0 win for the Bobcats.

Opp had 15 first downs, 40 rushes for 168 yards, were 4-of-12 in passing with one interception for 83 yards. The Bobcats had 251 yards on offense.

Slocomb had 10 first downs, 28 rushes for 95 yards and was 7-of-17 in passing with one interception for 115 yards, and a total of 210 yards.

Opp will end its season next week when it travels to play county rival Andalusia.
