Andalusia ranked in latest poll

For the first time this season, Andalusia has been ranked in the Top 10 of the latest Alabama Sports Writer’s Association poll that was released today, earning 48 votes and the No. 10 spot in Class 4A.

The Bulldogs defeated Headland 41-26 last week.

Andalusia claimed the Region 2 title in Ashford on Oct. 15, and won the region outright with the win over the Rams last week.

Andalusia will play Escambia County in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs.

In addition, Straughn moved up to the No. 8 spot after claiming the No. 9 spot two weeks in a row.

Straughn will also host the first round of the playoffs, where it will play UMS-Wright.
