JERRY HOBSON ZIGLAR

Jerry Hobson Ziglar Sr., 68 of Hempstead, Texas, passed away Oct. 13, 2010, at 8:45 p.m.

A memorial will be held Sat., Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Bible Church, located on County Rd. 47 or Indian Creek Road in Opp with Pastor Jerry Elmore officiating.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Una Vae Ziglar; brother, Lavon Ziglar; sisters, Dorothy Burkett and Earline Donaldson; and great-grandson, Blaze Ziglar.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pat Ziglar; sons, Jerry Ziglar and wife Angie, Terry Ziglar, Danny Ziglar and wife Wendy, and Jimmy Ziglar; daughters, Rena Williamson and husband Gary, and Trish Tompkins and friend Greg Huckabay; brothers, Dewayne Ziglar and wife Nadine, and Donahue Ziglar and wife Dorothy; sisters, Geraldine Robbins and husband Don, and Pat Page and husband Johnny; grandchildren, Tracy, Michael, Lanie, Bo, Justin, Sam, Makayla, Josh, Danielle, Haley, Brenda, Jesse, Austin, Devon, Harley and Colton; seven great-grandchildren; and his dog, Jake.

MILDRED OWENS

Mildred Owens, 70, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Oct. 28, 2010, in a Florida hospital.

Funeral services were held Tues., Nov. 2, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Fairmount Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie F. Owens of Andalusia; sons, Jimmie Wayne Owens and Timothy Joe Scott Owens, both of Andalusia; daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Landon) Jones of Forsyth, Mo.; brothers, James (Bobbie) Sorrells of Red Level and Shine Capps of Andalusia; a sister, Corene Sasser of Andalusia; and grandchildren, Steven Lonnie Fraizer Jones, Clayton Zachary Jones, Amanda Dallas Jones, Storie Anna Elizabeth Hicks and Joeann Skye Owens.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Steve Madison Owens and David Robert Owens.

Pallbearers were Dwight Kelly, Lucas Bolling, Duney Bolling Jr. Albit Sorrells, Tony Myrick, Eddie Rae Huckabee, Tommy Carr and Tommy Bolling.
