The fire alert was lifted Friday morning for all 67 counties in the state.

State Forester Linda Casey rescinded the alert around 10 a.m., citing the state has received enough rain over the last couple of weeks to reduce the threat of wildfire.

Still, Casey reminded everyone that the state is experiencing abnormally dry conditions and to use all necessary safety precautions when doing any type of burning.
