Writer disagrees with Saturday edit

I would like to respectfully disagree with the “Our View” editorial in the Sat., Nov. 6, 2010, Star-News.  As the old saying goes, I think “we should strike while the iron is hot.”  Gov. Bob Riley should call the legislature into special session on ethics reform as soon as possible. Let’s not give the lobbyists and special interest groups the opportunity to spend their money to try and influence the newly elected legislators. Ethics reform should be passed and be effective prior to the next regular session of the legislature if we truly want to limit the nfluence of the lobbists and special interest groups, and know what these groups are spending. It may cost $300,000, but in my mind this would be money well spent..
