If I were in charge of Thanksgiving dinner…

Thanksgiving is a time when family gets together to reflect on things they are thankful for and enjoy a tasty home-cooked meal.

One can bet, that everyone has his or her favorite dish for which to look forward.

Worley

The Star-News asked first graders in Shelly Nall’s class what they would cook, if the were to prepare a Thanks-giving dish.

For many, no Thanksgiving side is complete without the cranberry sauce, as was the case with first grader Greycen Worley, who said she’d bring the cranberry sauce.

Terrance Salter said he’d supply the turkey.

“I love turkey,” he said.

Herrington

Takia Stoudemire said she’d bake a ham.

“Hams are my favorite,” she said.

Clay Herrington showed a bit of a sweet tooth.

“I’d bring a pecan pie,” he said. “I love them.”

Marion Starnes said “no Thanksgiving is complete without chicken and dump-lings.”

Lee

Speak-ing of chicken, Mason Taylor said he’d cook a chicken casserole.

“Chicken casseroles are yummy,” he said.

Abigail Lee said she’d make scrumptious cherry pie.
