One of three passengers in a one vehicle wreck on Hwy. 29 near Gantt Wednesday was airlifted from the

scene to a Montgomery hospital and is listed in critical condition.

A spokesman for the Alabama State Troopers said Corry Burton of Red Level, who was a passenger, is in critical

condition.

The driver, Hillery Hooks II of Gantt, and a second passenger, Craig Fischer, also of Red Level, were taken

by ambulance to Andalusia Regional Hospital. Both Burton and Fisher were partially ejected from the vehicle. None

of the three were wearing safety belts.

A witness at the scene who was driving south on Hwy. 29 said she swerved to avoid hitting the vehicle when it
