Want to teach your child proper etiquette, but not sure where to start?

The Andalusia Middle School Ambassadors have you covered with their first ever “Mind Your Manners” workshop.

The workshop will catered to third, fourth and fifth graders, and will be held Sat., Jan. 29, from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

“I did a manners class for my sixth graders several years ago, and it was a huge success,” said AMS teacher Linda Kyle. “I did it in a classroom setting with our dinner during the regular lunch period in the lunchroom.

Kyle said the Ambassadors received special training for the workshop courtesy of their parents.

Topics include general manners and etiquette, introductions, telephone and cell phone manners, sportsmanship, table settings, table manners and manners specific to young men and young ladies.

The cost is $15 and it includes a luncheon where students will have the opportunity to practice what they’ve learned.

Parents are invited to attend an awards ceremony beginning at 1:15 p.m.

Deadline to register is Wed., Jan. 12.
