Cleveland Hicks

Mr. Cleveland Hicks, 90, of Montgomery, formerly of Andalusia, died Sun., Jan. 9, 2011, in a Montgomery nursing facility.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wed., Jan. 12, at the Cedar Grove Church of Christ with Ministers Wayne Baker and Jesse Perkins officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 16, at the Grace Pointe Church of Christ in Montgomery.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Virginia Garrett Hicks of Montgomery; his daughter and son-in-law, Retta and Larry Phillips of Montgomery; his granddaughters, Laura Yeargan and Rachel Phillips; a great grandchild, Kyle Keever; sisters and brother-in-law, Polly Smith of Montgomery, Mary and Ed Blocker of Opp, and Anne Castleberry of Montgomery; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill and Doris Hicks of Andalusia, Cecil Hicks of Dade City, Fla., and Huey Hicks of Weirsdale, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Family Services, 3800 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, AL 36106.

Pallbearers were Marvin Hicks, Steven Walker, Huey Hicks, Cecil Hicks, Robert Estes and Kenneth Estes.
