Sav-A-Life of Covington County is organizing a candle-lighting event in the lobby of the courthouse from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. tomorrow, Sun., Jan. 23, for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.

Individuals, families or church groups are invited to participate by lighting a candle in memory of the more than 49 million unborn babies lost since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion on demand on Jan. 22, 1973.

Youth groups are invited to come during the candle-lighting to worship in song and prayer. Speakers are available for Sanctity of Human Life services. For more information, call Sav-A-Life at 222-0644.
