Looking for a way to say, “I love you” this Valentine’s Day?
If so, the volunteers at the Meredith’s Miracles valentines fundraiser are at your service with its annual Sundae and Sweet Shoppe.
“We have our traditional sundaes including Reese Cups, Hershey’s Kisses, Tootsie Rolls, peppermint and bubble gum,” organizer Emily Yehling said.
For those who prefer to pick and choose their own baskets, the shoppe offers a “build-a-basket” option.
“This year we have new stuff for the build-a-basket,” she said. “We have pre-made gift crates with Skittles, Nerds and Spree for the children, as well as candy bracelets, white chocolate covered oreos and truffles.”
Additionally, customers may choose to include stuffed animals, fudge cups, mugs, Chrissie Schubert cookies and much more.
Yehling said prices vary, but sundaes are $15 without a ballon and $20 with a ballon. For a build-a-basket, the cost is from $5 and up.
There is also a $3 delivery fee for those in Andalusia who wish to have their gifts delivered.
“Call ahead to order,” Yehling said. “We’ll deliver Fri., Feb. 11, and Mon., Feb. 14.”
Yehling said in order to deliver the sundaes and other gifts, the organization is still in need of delivery volunteers and sundae-makers.
“Anyone can come make sundaes,” she said.
The store will open Monday and will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday and is closed on Sunday.
