Fowlers say ‘thanks’

Lamar and I would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support given to our family during our crisis with our son, Cade Fowler.

He was involved in a accident in Hawaii and very seriously injured. Cade’s still in ICU and has a long way to go before he will be considered “out of the woods.” We know the power of prayer, and the great doctors at the Queen Medical Center are the reason we still have our son.

The Queen Medical Center is the trauma center for the South Pacific. The doctors on the trauma team care unit, the ER trauma team, the neuro intensive team, the surgical intensive team, and last, but certainly not least, the neuro science intensive care unit, who all have saved our son a couple of times since he arrived.

Cade has been transferred to Tripler Army Medical Center ICU, where he will stay until doctors think he is well enough to be put on the neuro floor, which is still a monitored room.

Words cannot begin to express the way we feel about all the prayers and help sent our way.

Please continue to keep him and our family in your prayers, because we all know prayers are answered.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Elaine Fowler

Mother of 22-year-old Cade Fowler, the Navy soldier injured in a motorcycle accident at Pearl Harbor.
