A weather system that moved through Covington County late Tuesday claimed at least eight trees and a roof, and took power out in some parts of Florala.
Covington County EMA director Susan Harris said there was no indication of circular movement on the radar. A storm system with high winds moved through the area at about 60 mph and was likely the cause of the damage, she said.
The storm damaged part of the roof Country Boutique, Harris said.
