Howard Duncan Marler, 75, of the Searight Community, died on Sun., Feb. 6, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held today, Wed., Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. from Foreman Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Pass officiating and interment following in the Goodhope Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Annette Marler of Searight; a daughter and son in law, Amanda and Raustin Jernigan of Andalusia; three sons, Alton and Paula of Peoria, Ill., Anthony of Andalusia and Aubrey and Helen of Dozier; six grandchildren, Amber Wolfe and Ashton Wolfe of Peoria, Ill., and Samantha Wolfe, Dawson Jernigan, Bryce Jernigan and Aaron Wolfe, all of Andalusia; a sister, Faye (James) McDavid of Crestview, Fla.; and a brother, Glen (Elma) Marler of Salt Lake City, Utah; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and loved ones.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Hammett, Glenn Kimbro, Robert Jones, Bobby Simms, Tracy Kelley and Donnie Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Kelley, Jimmy Hawkins, Charles Grace, Jimmy Rawls and Wayne Duke.
