Former Alabama First Lady Patsy Riley will be the featured guest at an April benefit for the Andalusia High School Literacy Club.

Mrs. Riley will sell and sign both her cookbook, “When the Dinner Bell Rings at the Gove-rnor’s Man-sion,” and her history of those who’ve occupied the current governor’s mansion, “Alabama’s First Ladies and Their Governors.”

The event is set for Thurs., April 7, from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Springdale. Mrs. Riley will speak at 5:30, and light refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon.

Advanced tickets are available through the Andalusia High School office, WAAO, literary club members, and the Andalusia Public Library. Advanced purchase of a ticket plus a book is $20. On site admission is $8 and books are $15 each.
