RUTH PINKSTON

Ruth Pinkston, 93, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., April 6, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sun., April 10, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, Fla., with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Keahey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pinkston worked for more than 50 years at Eglin Air Force Base as a daycare worker and in other administrative positions.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Roy Kenneth and Carol Pinkston Jr. of Niceville, Fla.; her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Michael Boone of Andalusia; brother and sister-in-law, George and Wanda Kirkland of Altus, Okla.; sisters, Faye Norris, of Opp and Joyce Clark of Titusville, Fla.; grandsons, Gavin Boone of Andalusia and Jacob Browder; great-granddaughter, Mikayla Boone; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Clayton Norris and Jerry Clark, and grandson, Timothy Boone.

JAMES T. HILBURN

James T. Hilburn, 55, of Opp, passed away Fri., March 18, 2011, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., March 21, at Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Ferguson officiating. Graveside services were conducted by Larry Jackson. Special music was provided by Roger McClain. Burial followed in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his loving wife, Glenda S. Hilburn of Opp; sister, Betty Ann Duke of Pelham; nephews, Wayne, Duke and Jason Hilburn, Chris Hilburn and Josh Hilburn; nieces, Cindy Reed, Jennifer Fleming and Kim Strickland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.B. and Ora Nell Hilburn, and brothers, Ronald Hayward Hilburn and Larry Edward Hilburn.

Serving as pallbearers were Raymond Worley, Harold Cain, Kenneth Short, Wayne Sasser, Joe Richburg, Johnny Vanarsdall, Billy Chamblee, Bo Roughton and Jacky Ballard.
