The City of Florala is seeking a new District 3 councilmember.

The position became vacant when Councilman Danny Thames resigned.

Interested parties are asked to pick up an “interest form” at city hall.

Applicants must have been a Florala resident for the past 90 days, live within the district and submit a statement outlining why they are seeking the seat.

Forms must be returned no later than 5 p.m. on Mon., April 25.

The council will vote on the new councilperson at the Tues., April 26, council meeting.
