Friday was a busy morning for area emergency personnel after responding to at least four traffic accidents before noon.
The first occurred 7:55 a.m. involving a log truck on Ala. Hwy. 55 near River Falls. Reports indicate the log truck overturned, spilling logs and blocking traffic.
One hour later a man was severely injured less than five miles north of the first accident after he wrecked his 2008 Honda motorcycle.
An Alabama State Trooper spokesperson identified the man as Joseph McDonald.
McDonald was transported to Andalusia Regional Hospital and later Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., for treatment.
Police and rescue also responded to two minor traffic accidents within the Andalusia city limits before lunch.
