Why not join the Opp Downtown Redevelopment Authority’s yard sale this Saturday?

Organizer Charles Willis said there are about 42 booths available inside the historic depot in downtown.

Booths are $20 each and families, clubs and organizations are invited to participate in the citywide event, he said.

Willis said if booths are available, they may be purchased Saturday morning before the sale, but said the group will open the depot today at 1 p.m. for those who wish to bring their merchandise.

Willis said any proceeds the DRA makes will go to beautify downtown Opp.

“It will be spent in the depot or downtown,” he said.

Willis said those interested in reserving a space can call Doris Wismer at 493-6496.

The event begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and will end around noon.
