Have you driven past the old Church Street School lately?  If you have, I’m sure you’ve noticed that it is a veritable hive of activity.  Although, we all may be tempted to judge the renovation work by the outside appearance of the building; the true transformation is taking place on the inside. The walls, ceilings, and doors are being put in place. The ductwork, electrical, and plumbing has been installed.

Just as the transformational work has primarily gone on inside Church Street School to this point, so it is with the purpose of the Church Street Cultural Arts Center.

This historic building is the facility through which the lives of the young people of Covington County and surrounding areas will be transformed.  In this building, young people will learn discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. Their self-confidence will be enhanced and they will learn to appreciate the beauty of art in their lives. Just as Church Street School transformed the lives of the students who walked its halls; so too, will the Church Street Cultural Arts Center change the lives of the youth of coming generations.
