JANNIE J. JONES

Jannie J. Jones, the compassionate and loving wife of Superintendent Coleman Jones, went home to be with the Lord on Tues., May 3, 2011, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held today, Sat., May 7, at the Andalusia First Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband of 45 years, Coleman Douglas Jones; and loving children, Sherrie Jones of Tuscaloosa, Melvin (Kristi) Jones of Northport, Cassandra Jones of Andalusia, Ellen Jenkins of Jonesboro, Ga., and Charlie (Terri) Jenkins of Montgomery.

MATTIE EMMA BEASLEY

Mattie Emma Beesley, 93, a resident of Greenville, and a former resident of Andalusia, died on Thurs., May 5, 2011, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Mon., May 9, in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Foreman Funeral Home in Andalusia.

Mrs. Beesley was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Bell Little and Obia Carson Beesley; brother, Fred Cross; and sisters, Jewell Little, Mae Gomillion and Ruby Kimbrough.

She is survived by her children, Alice (Frank) Harper of Fort Payne, Arthur (Joyce) Little of Greenville and Sheila (Robert) Munday of Montgomery; grandchildren, Tasia Harper (Karl) Sigler of Atlanta, Geoffrey Harper of Charleston, S.C., Jill (Mitch) Oliver of Montgomery, Jeffrey (Denise) Little of Andalusia, Christopher (Kala) Munday of Atlanta and Jonathan Munday of Montgomery; great-grandson, Tyler Oliver of Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews.

WILLIAM ‘BILL’ RALPH FOLMAR

William “Bill” Ralph Folmar, 67, of Heath, died Fri., May 6, 2011, in an Opp hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sun., May 8, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Joel Calhoun and Minister Jeff Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. tonight at Foreman’s.

Mr. Folmar served four years in the U. S. Navy and retired from the phone company after more than 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lynn Folmar of Heath; one daughter, Kristy Folmar of Heath; two step-brothers, Curtis (Margie) Thomasson and Kyle Ray (Carole) Thomasson, all of Andalusia, one step-sister, Audrey (Roy) Wilson of Andalusia; father and mother-in-law, L. D. and Georgia Spivey of Andalusia; and three brother-in-laws, Phillip (Barbara) Spivey, Steve (Rita) Spivey and David (Deborah) Spivey, all of Andalusia.

In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
