An afternoon wreck just south of Hopewell Baptist Church on Brooklyn Road sent one man to the hospital after his white F-150 pickup truck overturned yesterday.

Emergency personnel had to use the “jaws of life” to extract the man from the vehicle.

The man was transported to Andalusia Regional Hospital by Advanced EMS. Andalusia Fire and Rescue, the Covington County Sheriff’s Department, Advanced EMS, Hopewell Fire Department and the Alabama State Troopers responded to the accident.

No other information was available when the Star-News went to press.
