Debra Inabinett was appointed Monday to fill the vacancy of Florala City Council’s district 3 seat.

Inabinett, who has previously served on the city council, will fill the remaining term of Danny Thames, who resigned last month.

She will begin her term at the next council meeting, which is set on May 23.

In other business, the council voted to participate in the annual sales tax holiday in August and to enter into a fuel purchase agreement with the county.
