Lumpkin, Carroll to wed June 4

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Douglas and Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Lumpkin of Andalusia announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Samantha Leanne Lumpkin, to Andrew Whitney Carroll, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Carroll of Red Level.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Adams and Mrs. Dorothy Lumpkin and the late Harry Lumpkin, all of Andalusia.

Miss Lumpkin is a 2005 graduate of Straughn High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in collaborative education. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in collaborative education from the University of West Alabama.

She is employed with the Jefferson County School System, where she is a special education teacher at Pleasant Grove Middle School.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Ingram of Red Level and Mrs. Inez Carroll and the late Noah Carroll of Florala.

He is a 2000 graduate of Red Level High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in biology. He is currently pursuing a masters of business administration with a focus in environmental management from Ashford University.

He is currently employed with Avanti Polar Lipids in Alabaster.

The wedding is set for June 4, 2011, at 5 p.m. at Antioch Congregational Church.

The reception will follow at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Carroll. Invitations have been sent. All friends and family of the bride and groom are invited to attend.
