A man wanted for sexually abusing a 4-year-old child left in his care in Walton County, Fla., was arrested in Andalusia Friday morning.

Kevin Phillips was arrested after the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Montgomery received information from the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FLRFTF) in Pensacola, Fla., that Phillips was believed to be living near Andalusia.

Phillips was arrested without incident at the apartment where he had been living on River Falls Street.

“Phillips did not resist when he was taken in to custody this morning” said U.S. Marshal Art Baylor. “One of the reasons for creating the regional fugitive task forces was to assist state and local law enforcement agencies in apprehending sexual predators like Phillips. It is always a good day for law enforcement and a better day for the communities we serve when we remove predators like Phillips from our street.”
