DOUG MORGAN

Mr. Doug Morgan, 80, of Andalusia passed away Mon., May 17, 2011, in a Pensacola hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., May 21, at Keahey Funeral Home chapel. Junior Morgan will officiate.

Special music will be performed by Gary McKenzie. Interment will follow in the Carolina Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include: sons, Chuck Morgan of Texas, and Steve (Sharon) Morgan of Andalusia; daughter, Sandy Johnson of Tennessee; brothers, Donald (Louise) Morgan of Dothan, and Junior (Laquita) Morgan of Elberta; sisters, Ruth Page of Andalusia, Glenda (Frank) Alsup of Albertville and Nell McKenzie of Decatur; grandchildren, Josh Morgan, Jade Morgan, Jeanie Morgan, Michelle Morgan, Hatch Davis and Morgan Davis; great grandchildren, Marissa Morgan, Lathan Morgan, Andrew Morgan, Briana Wheat and Bubba Wheat; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by parents, Cellus Barney Morgan, and Lilla Rebeca Day Morgan; sister, Allene Odom, and son-in-law, Rob Johnson.

CAROLYN PARKER FAIRLEY

Mrs. Carolyn Parker Fairley “MeMaw,” 88, of Vancleave, Miss., passed away Sun., May 15, 2011, in Ocean Springs, Miss.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, she will be sorely missed by her loving family and many friends.

Mrs. Fairley was a member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave. She was an avid gardener, producing vegetables, flowers and virtually anything that grows.

She retired from Jackson County, where she was Deputy Chancery Court Clerk for 40 years.

Mrs. Fairley was preceded in death by her parents, James Crafton and Nina Parker, and her brother, Drayden Parker.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Mr. Donice B. Fairley of Vancleave; son, Johnny Crafton (Suzanne) Fairley of Andalusia; daughters, Janice Diane (Billy) Bond of Vancleave; and Sandra Faye Edmondson of Gautier, Miss.; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grand children and two great great grandchildren; a brother, Devaine “Tubby” Parker of Agricola; sisters, Jean Williams of Lucedale and Edith “Poochie” Robertson of Agricola; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be today, Wed., May 18, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Vancleave. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. from the church with the Rev. Don Boone and the Rev. Randy David officiating.

Interment will be in Vancleave Cemetery No. 1 on Jim Ramsey Road in Vancleave.

ADDIE DYE

Addie Dye, 78, of Andalusia, died Fri., May 13, 2011, in a Crestview, Fla., nursing home.

Funeral services were held on Mon., May 16, at 2 p.m. from the Antioch Congregational Church with the Rev. Derwood Cleland and the Rev. Benji Jordan officiating.

Interment followed in the church cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her son, Mark Dye of Andalusia; six grandchildren, Derek Dye, Michael Hobbs, Lauren Hobbs, Amy Cowan, Matthew Stokes and Andrew Stokes; two great-grandchildren, Will Cowan and Courtney Cowan; one sister, Jean Gola of Prattville; and one brother, Tom Galloway of Montgomery.

Pallbearers were Matthew Stokes, Andrew Stokes, Terry Neal, Scott Dye, Daniel Cowan, and Benji Jordan.
