BETTY JO WAMBLES

Betty Jo Wambles, 80, of Andalusia, died Fri., May 20, 2011 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.

Funeral services were held Mon., May 23, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Hillary Stewart and the Rev. Billy Boles officiating. Interment followed at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Ovie Wambles; sons, Charles E. (Barbara) Wambles and Ovie A. (Sue) Wambles Jr., all of Andalusia; four grandchildren, Michael Wambles, Christy Wambles, Dixie Templeton and Brian Wambles; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Fuqua and Joan Ballard of Andalusia; brother, Joseph “Billy” Taylor of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mathew Barnes, Brian Wambles, Donnie Bradley, Johnny Taylor, Eric Martin, Randy Templeton, Joe Dozier, and Jason Walker.

SIBYL JACOBS

Sibyl Jacobs, 88, of the Carolina Community, passed away Mon., May 23, 2011, at her home.

She was a faithful, lifelong member of Carolina Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Mandrak Jacobs; her parents, Evans and Eva Rodgers; and brothers, Lloyd Rodgers, Evans Rodgers Jr., Kenneth Rodgers and Ross Burton Rodgers.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wed., May 25, at the Carolina Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Brady and the Rev. Billy Boles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include her children, Sherry (Jimmy) Garner of the Carolina Community, Ronald (Carol) Jacobs of Andalusia, Tim (Darlene) Jacobs of Jackson and Donna (Mike) Cauley of Andalusia; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lucille Bozeman, Hazel Wood, Don Hutto, Ruth and Charles Lawson, Dean and Gene Jacobs, Esther and Benny Barrow, Ruth Rodgers and Opal Rogers and a number nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Carolina Baptist Church cemetery fund or church building fund.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Jacobs, Michael Cauley, Jacob Cauley, Brad Garner, Micah Garner, Hubble Sowards, Wade Armstrong and Jon Luke Jacobs.

THELMA DORIS COOK

Thelma Doris Cook, 89 of Andalusia died Sat., May 21, 2011, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held Wed., May 25, at 2 p.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Wilcox officiating. Interment will be in the Goodhope Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Cook of Andalusia; a stepdaughter, Norma (Bruce) Robertson of Pace, Fla.; a stepson, George UpChurch of Knoxville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Glenda (Judd) Granger of Andalusia, Peggy Lewandoski of Mulberry, Fla., Lillie Mae Gay of Jay, Fla., and Syble Dorough of Opp; two brothers, Jimmy (Janel) Berry of Baton Rouge, La., and Jessie Berry of Gantt; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Judd Granger, Zolley Mitchell, Bruce Robertson, Bruce Robertson, Jr., Michael Robertson and Brandy Roberts.

GERALDINE TAYLOR BRACEWELL

Geraldine Taylor Bracewell, 92, of Andalusia, died Sat., May 21, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services will at 11 a.m., today, Tues., May 24, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist church Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Jackie B. Henderson; three sons, Joe T. (Jan) Bracewell, Mac (Shelia) Bracewell and Bernie (Shela) Bracewell, all of Andalusia; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Merline Barnes and Odessa Bracewell, of Andalusia.

Pallbearers will be Alan Bracewell, Tim Bracewell, Chad Bracewell, Justin Bracewell, Mac Bracewell Jr., Brock Bracewell, Joseph Henderson and Dr. Tim Day.

Linda Gail Kyser of Andalusia died Mon., May 23, 2011, at her residence.
