JAMIE PRESTWOOD

Jamie Prestwood of Andalusia passed away unexpectedly Wed., May 25, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

EULA GREY POTTS

Eula Grey Potts, 95, of Headland, formerly of Andalusia, died Wed., May 25, 2011, in a Dothan hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Fri., May 27, at 11 a.m. from the West Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Morgan and the Rev. Larry Stewart officiating. Interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held tonight from 5:30 p.m. and at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

She was a longtime resident of Andalusia and a member of West Highland Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Braxton Potts; a son, Gerlad Potts; and three sisters, Audie Smith, Opal Barranco and Gladys Sturgis.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Larry Wamble of Headland; two grandchildren, Jay (Hayden) Kelley and Blair (Jeff) Jeff Hancock; two great-grandchildren, Greyson Hancock and Judd Kelley; and a nephew, Billy (Ruth) Johns of Pensacola, Fla.

Pallbearers will be Jay Kelley, Jeff Hancock, Larry Wamble, Nick Johns, Gary Odom and Kiel Odom.

LINDA GAIL KYSER

Linda Gail Kyser of Andalusia died Mon., May 23, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Wed., May 25, 2011, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Hunt and the Rev. Ray Miles officiating. Burial will be in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Kyser of Andalusia; her sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Danelle Kyser and Austin Kyser, all of Andalusia; her daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Keith Walden and Melissa and Tommy Cobb of Andalusia; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Mary Alice Robinson of Prattville and Jo Anne Barrow of Brewton.

Pallbearers were Matt Walden, Brandon Gantt, Joe Kyser, Johnathon Williamson, Jimmy Wiggins, and Gary Kyser.

THE REV. AL DANIELS MIMBS

The Rev. Al Daniel Mimbs, 76, passed away on Sun., May 22, 2011, at his home.

Born in Macon, Ga., he was the son of the late Green Daniel and Latha Inez Wright Mimbs. A graduate of Life Bible College, he had graduate work at the University of Alabama. While pastoring his first church, he taught English and math at both the middle school and high school levels, as well as teaching math at the Alabama School for the Deaf in Talladega. He also worked for the Department of Parks and Recreation in Sylacauga. He was a Foursquare minister for more than 50 years and received the 50-year service award from the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel in 2007.

He also pastored churches in Sylacauga; Columbus, Ga., and Raleigh and Concord, N.C.. He retired from the Foursquare Gospel Church in Spring City in 2001.

He was preceded in death by brothers Joe, Royce, and Ivey Mimbs, and a sister, Dorothy Jane Rose.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lois Werth Mimbs; brother, James Mimbs of Macon, Ga.; and sisters, Lois (Roy) Bryan of San Jose, Ca., and Evelyn Rubino of Miami.

Funeral services were held Wed., May 25, at in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City, Tenn., with Dr. Ron Ingram officiating.

On Fri., May 27, the family will receive from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. CDT at the Concord Presbyterian Church in Waterloo, Ill. Interment will follow in the Waterloo Cemetery.
