Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday of May, honors the men and women who died while serving in the American military.

A ceremony will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Andalusia with Air Force Brigadier Gen. (Ret.) Edward Crowell as the guest speaker.

The City of Opp will hold its annual Memorial Day Service on Mon., May 30, at 10 a.m. on the front lawn of Peaceful Acres Cemetery.
