JAIME PRESTWOOD

Jaime Prestwood, 36, of Andalusia passed away unexpectedly Wed., May 25, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., today, Sat., May 28, 2011, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Fred Karthaus will officiate. Special music by Sarah McGloughlin.

Burial will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include Kevin Davis of Andalusia; mother, Gail Adams of Opp; son, James Austin Davis; daughter, Laura Ashley Beck, both of Andalusia; aunts, Toni (Mark) Miller of Huntsville, Lucy (John) Schliesser of Lakeland, Fla., and Margaret Jean Vaughn of Pace, Fla.; and cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Morgan Prestwood; paternal grandparents, James Morgan Prestwood and Margaret Prestwood; and maternal grandparents, James Horace Etheridge and Estelle Etheridge.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darwin Pippin, Stacey Davis, Dennis Davis, Christian Davis, Jared Young and Jamie Dubose.

Memorial maybe made to the nursery at the First Baptist Church, where she had been a dedicated worker for many years.

MARVIN ROY GROGGINS

Marvin Roy Goggins, 73, of River Falls, died Wed. May 25, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be held today, Sat., May 28, at 10 a.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the River Falls Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Trent will officiate.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Goggins of River Falls; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Michael Harper of Dallas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Desiree Blackwell of Orange Beach and Richard and Kimberly Blackwell of Tucker, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sean Little, Vern Little, Delmas Little, Tim Blackwell, Richard Blackwell and Kenneth Little.

THE REV. AL DANIELS MIMBS

The Rev. Al Daniel Mimbs, 76, passed away on Sun., May 22, 2011, at his home.

Born in Macon, Ga., he was the son of the late Green Daniel and Latha Inez Wright Mimbs. A graduate of Life Bible College, he had graduate work at the University of Alabama. While pastoring his first church, he taught English and math at both the middle school and high school levels, as well as teaching math at the Alabama School for the Deaf in Talladega. He also worked for the Department of Parks and Recreation in Sylacauga. He was a Foursquare minister for more than 50 years and received the 50-year service award from the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel in 2007.

He also pastored churches in Sylacauga; Columbus, Ga., and Raleigh and Concord, N.C.. He retired from the Foursquare Gospel Church in Spring City in 2001.

He was preceded in death by brothers Joe, Royce, and Ivey Mimbs, and a sister, Dorothy Jane Rose.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lois Werth Mimbs; brother, James Mimbs of Macon, Ga.; and sisters, Lois (Roy) Bryan of San Jose, Ca., and Evelyn Rubino of Miami.

Funeral services were held Wed., May 25, at in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City, Tenn., with Dr. Ron Ingram officiating, and on Fri., May 27, interment was held in the Waterloo Cemetery.
