Red Level kids ready for ‘wet, wild’ summer

It’s going toe be a “wet and wild” summer for most students at Red Level Elementary School.

As school dismissed Thursday, students were ready to hit the ground running, intertube and floaties in hand, to kick off their summer vacation.

For Kade Green, his summer will be spent splishing and splashing in the pool.

“I’m going swimming,” he said. “It’s my favorite part of being out of school.”

Mason Ander-son agreed. “Swim-ming is what I’m going to be doing,” he said. “I just love summer.”

Hunter Walker plans to spend his summer floating down the nearby rivers.

“We’re going canoeing,” he said. “I love it.”

Lexi Cook said she’s going to the “water.”

“It’s my favorite part of summer,” she said. “I love to play in the water.”

Abby Goolsby said she and her family will load up the truck for some camping adventures.

“I can’t wait to go camping,” she said.

Lauren Meeks and family are heading South to the sandy white beaches.

“We’re going to the beach,” she said. “I love that I get to spend more time with my big sister.”

Elizabeth Cross is going to be a “princess for a day,” she said.

“We’re going to Disney World,” she said. “It’s my first trip, and I’m going to eat with the princesses and dress like a princess.”

Taylor Fowler said her summer will be spent doing the opposite of what the others are.

“I’m going to help Nana baby sit,” she said. “It’s going to be a blast.”
