Martha Lou Elmore

Martha Lou Elmore, 70, of Andalusia, died Sun., May 29, 2011, in a Birmingham hospital. Graveside services were held Tues., May 31, at 4 p.m. from the Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Matt Brady officiated.

She was a lifelong resident of Andalusia and had worked for Southeast Alabama Gas District for more than 30 years at the time of her death. She was also a member of Carolina Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jacob Elmore of Andalusia; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Robbie Ballard of Andalusia; three grandchildren, Lori Craft and Joey Griffin of Andalusia, Britni Ballard and Bucky McMillan of Birmingham, Ala. and Bob Ballard of Andalusia; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Brodie and Brylie Ann Griffin; her sister, Marie Cole of Lucedale, Miss. and her brother, J.T. and Faye White of Pensacola, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Manford Neese

Manford Neese, 98, of Libertyville, died Sun., May 29, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. , today, Wed. June 1, 2011, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Aaron officiating. Burial will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. today at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Rabren Neese of Libertyville; his son and daughter-in-law, Tarldon and Helen Neese of Spanish Fort; his grandchildren, Diane and Winston McCleery, Carolyn and Dean McCrary, Sandra and Matthew Cody; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and his step-children, Linda Rabren and Brenda (Tim) Allen.

Pallbearers will be Tyler McCleery, Winson McCleery, Connor McCleery, Dean McCrary, Matt Smith, and Kevin Barrow.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Smith, Harold Barrow, Zach McCleery, Mason Cody, Sam Lewis, Rex Powell and Matthew Cody.

Donna Lee Long

Donna Lee Long, 49, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., formerly of the Andalusia and Red Level areas, died Fri., May 27, 2011, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., today, Wed., June 1, 2011, at the Fairmount Cemetery in Red Level, with the Rev. Drexel Copeland officiating, and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. today at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Reese Long of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; her sisters, Kay Mathews of Brantley, Ala., Pat Vick of Montgomery, and Cindy Sowell of Red Level; several nieces and nephews, her step-children, Joseph Long, Jeff Long, Tim Long, Donnie Long, and Tina Long; grandchildren, Desiree, Madison, and Joey Long, Zachary and Kay LaFlamboy, Jackson and Jordan Long.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David Odell Green Sr. and Annie Merle Ray Green, and her brother, David Green.

Pallbearers will be Tim Vick, Matthew Vick, Tommy Mathews, Ric Long and Ricky Long.
