The Covington County Home Daycare Association held their annual meeting on May 10, 2011, in conjunction with home provider’s appreciation month. I have been in the home daycare business for 21 years, and this area is home to eight other licensed home daycare providers – Rose Phillips, with 28 years of service; Mary Richards, 16 years; Doris Gibson, 15 years; Shirley Trawick, 19 years; Carilyn Harmon, 21 years; and Sandy Williford, 26 years; Rosalyn Previtt, 23 years; and Marie Holland, 14 years.

As president of the local association, I and my fellow members would like to thank the following businesses for graciously donating door prizes for our last meeting: Badcock, Dr. Bang, Alan Cotton, Bright Beings, Farmer’s IGA and Covington Electric.
