Johnson, Palmer unite in April

Heather Johnson and Dave Palmer were married April 16, 2011, at the Florala Historical Society’s Depot in Florala. The bride’s uncle, retired judge the Rev. David Johnson of Lowery, performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Joe and Karen Johnson of Paxton, Fla., and the granddaughter of Art and Estelle Felgenhauer of Crestview, Fla., and Reba and the late Tank Johnson of Lowery. She was presented by her father and attended by her sisters Tara Johnson, Lyndsey Hand and Taylor Johnson, as well as the groom’s sister, Amanda Bowling, and her friend, Megan Downing.

The groom is the son of David and Cindy Palmer of Lawrenceville, Ga., and the grandson of David G. Palmer of Jacksonville, Fla., Ruth Palmer of Tallahassee, Fla., Sally Murrell of Montgomery and the late Henry Huguley of Sprague, Ala. He was attended by his brother, Adam Palmer; the bride’s brother, Scott Johnson; and friends, Nate Haddon, Frak Al-Nuimay and Korey Downing.

The flower girl was the groom’s niece, Piper Bowling, and the ring bearers were the groom’s nephews, Palmer Bowling and Lucas Palmer.

After a ceremony on the lawn of the Depot, a reception was held inside. The couple honeymooned at Grayton Beach, Fla., Saint Simon’s Island, Ga., and Oslo, Norway.

The bride is a doctor of oriental medicine and practices acupuncture and Chinese massage and runs an herbal pharmacy in Paxton, Fla., and online at DrHeathersHerbs.com.

The groom is a partner with SGProcessing and works with credit card processing and merchant services and is a graphic designer working on logos, business cards and websites.

The newlyweds reside in Paxton, Fla.
