Police are still investigating the “who, what and how” that led to six people being stabbed at a private club in River Falls just before midnight Saturday.

Lt. Teddie Ray Motley of the Covington County Sheriff’s Office said the initial report came in as a disturbance at the “Night Club,” which is a facility that can be rented for private parties.

Mot-ley said while the victim’s identities were not being released, he could verify that five men and one woman were injured during the incident. Each sustained either a cut or a stab wound, he said.

“At 11:18 p.m. Saturday, 911 received a call about clearing the parking lot because there were some guys there starting trouble,” Motley said. “The caller stated that there was fighting (going on) there.”

Motley said when deputies arrived, EMS was immediately paged to transport the victims to the hospital. Motley said he was then contacted and sent to Andalusia Regional Hospital to begin the investigation.

“Several witnesses were interviewed at the hospital, and we were able to gather information about the victims,” he said.

“Another three were interviewed at the sheriff’s office. All we can say right now is that the investigation is still active.”
