Bochette, Barnes plan mid-July nuptials

Samuel Brad Barnes and Bethany Hope Bochette

Randy Bochette of Cusseta, Ala., and Shirley Bochette of Valley, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Bethany Hope Bochette, to Samuel Brad Barnes, son of Billy and Wanda Barnes of Andalusia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of J. C. and Colleen Bochette of Manning, S.C., and Martha Bochette of Sumter, S.C., and the late Marion and Daisy Coleman of Sumter.

She is a 2009 graduate of Beulah High School, where she was the valedictorian.

She currently attends Southern Union State Community College and will be transferring to Auburn University, where she’ll pursue a degree in elementary education.

The bride-elect is currently employed with Fairfax First Baptist Weekday Early Education Ministry in Valley.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Merline Barnes and the late Billie Barnes of Andalusia and the late Bruce and Catherine Bass, also of Andalusia.

He is a 2009 Auburn University graduate with a degree in software engineering and is currently employed with Chuck’s Barbeque in Opelika. He is the interim youth pastor at Fairfax First Baptist Church in Valley.

A July 16, 2011, wedding is planned for 6 p.m. in the Fairfax First Baptist Church of Valley.
