Amos, Daniels unite in marriage

Angela Amos and Rickey Daniels were united in holy matrimony on Sat., June 18, 2011, at Florence Gardens’ Magnolia Hall, located in the bride’s hometown of Gulfport, Miss., with the Rev. Caleb R. Shelby and Dr. Wiley C. Neal officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie E. Amos Sr., of Gulfport. Her maternal grandparents are Mrs. Carlean Cowart and the late Vernell Cowart, also of Gulfport. Her paternal grandparents are Mrs. Margie R. Amos and the late Willie J. Amos Sr., also of Gulfport.
The groom is the son of the late Mrs. Willie Ester Daniels of Andalusia and the late Terry Robinson of Atmore. His maternal grandmother is the late Mrs. Lena Mitchell of Dozier.
Bernice Daniels and Yolanda Crittenden, sisters of the groom, entered and sat in memory and dedication to their mother. They also presented the bride with a beautiful ring that had been worn by their mother to wear during the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, and serving as the maid of honor was Shondreka Amos of Dallas, the sister of the bride. The best man was James O. Daniels of Montgomery, the brother of the groom, and serving as groomsman was Victor Benson of Andalusia, a friend of the groom. Serving as ushers were Delonta Walley and Jimmie Amos, nephews of the bride.
During the ceremony, Jimmie Amos Jr., the brother of the bride, presented the couple with a lovely dedication. Upon pronouncement of their unity, the bride and groom walked down the aisle, to happy applause, as husband and wife.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Magnolia Hall. Family and friends enjoyed dinner and music.
Other weekend events included a bridal shower given at the bride’s parents’ home, hosted by the bride’s maid of honor and Vicky Amos, aunt of the bride, as well as a cocktail party, hosted by the bride’s uncle and aunt, Rick and Cathye Amos.
The bride is employed by Rod Sylvester, attorney-at-law, in Andalusia, and the groom is the owner of Daniels and Sons Granite Installation, also located in Andalusia.
After a honeymoon trip to Miami and West Palm Beach, Fla., the couple resides in Andalusia.
