HELEN K. WEANT

Helen K. Weant, 86, of Gantt, died Mon., July 11, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Wed., July 13, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Terry Stewart officiating and burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Eugene and Shirley Weant of Bay Minette, Donald Horace and Judy Weant, Henry Ferrell and Diane Weant and Benjamin Harold Weant of Dozier; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Chet Thrash of Dozier, daughter-in-law, Shirley Virginia Johnson Weant; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Weant; her son, Kenneth Allen Weant, and grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Weant and Brian Keith Weant.

Pallbearers will be Steven Weant, Ben Weant, York Weant, Jeremy Weant, Cole Weant and Neal King.

The family requests no flowers. Instead, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Betty Diane Freeman, 61, of Opp, died Sun., July 10, 2011, at her son’s residence in Opp.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Wed., July 13, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie McVay officiating, and burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Freeman of Baker, Fla.; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Tina Moore of Opp, Toby and Sherry Freeman of Andalusia and Darrell and Shorron Freeman of Chipley, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Silvia Neal of Andalusia and Milton and Barbara Neal of Alberta; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Neal of Andalusia; an aunt, Sybil Morrow of Andalusia; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Judy Neal, and brother, Joe Neal.

Pallbearers will be Michael Neal, James Neal, Phillip Neal, Shawn Qualls, Rick Long, Shone Berry and Jonathon Neal.

CONNIE SUE MULLEN HENDERSON

Connie Sue Mullen Henderson, 42, of Gantt, passed away Sun., July 10, 2011, in a Dothan hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Wed., July 13, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joel Calhoun and the Rev. Glenn Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Stone Lake Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Carlos Henderson of Andalusia; one son, Marcus Ryals of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Hayden Mullen of Andalusia; brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Linda Green of Andalusia; sister, Ramonia Ryals of Red Level; stepfather, Terry Howard; her in-laws, Jo and Clifford Thomas; nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Goggans, and her parents, James Ryals and Jessie Howard.
