VIRGINIA COBB KNIGHT

Virginia Cobb Knight, born Dec. 5, 1952, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Mon., July 25, 2011, at the age of 58.

A native of Andalusia and resident of Algiers, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Thadie Cobb. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Charles Cobb, Betty Rakstis, Alan Cobb, Cathy Free and Denise McKinnon and their children. She was the mother of Jeffrey Ludlum, Kenneth Moore, James Corey Moore and the late Bobby Crowell; mother-in-law of Sara Beaver Moore. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Haley Crowell, Ian Moore, Delaney Moore, Dylon Moore and Megan Moore.

She had been a nurse for 25 years and loved old movies and crocheting.

As she has donated her body to science at the LSU medical center in New Orleans, there will be a memorial service on Sat., July 30, at 2 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church, with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

JOHN L. PARRISH

John L. Parrish, 74, of Evergreen passed away Wed., July 27, 2011, at his residence.

Graveside services were held on Fri., July 29, at Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his son, George Parrish; two daughters, Jonnie (Kenny) Mott and Debbie (Doug) Jordan all of Tulsa, Okla.; brothers, Robert (June) Parrish of Colorado, Jackie Parrish of Andalusia and Albert (Sybil) Parrish of Brewton; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert P. and Odessa (Brown) Parrish and Louise Comer.
