WILLIAM ROBERT ‘BOB’ PIERSON

William Robert “Bob” Pierson, 81, of Andalusia, died Thurs., Aug. 4, 2011, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Sun., Aug. 7, at Smith Cemetery in Andalusia with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating and Keahey Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby Pierson of Andalusia; daughter, Valinda Hardy of Florala; sisters, Mary Lee Peacock of Andalusia and Ada P. Peacock of the Carolina Community; two grandchildren, Michael Green of Jefferson City, Mo., and Kelly (Carrie) Hardy of Florala; and two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Hardy and Dillon Hardy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eula Lee Pierson; three daughters, Yvonne Pierson, Karen Suzzette Pierson and Ruth Pierson; father, Joseph Wesley Pierson; sisters, Beuna Mae Sowell and Esther Pearl Minuard, and brothers, Thomas Holland Pierson and James Lenard Pierson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Green, Kelly Hardy, Johnny Hughes and Eric Bush.

Mr. Pierson was a United States Army veteran.
