With blood levels still at a critical shortage level, Red Cross officials are urging locals to take part in upcoming blood drives.

Megan Jefferson of the Red Cross said that the organization fell short of its target goal last month.

A blood drive, which was originally scheduld for the Georgiana Hospital has been moved to Walmart in Andalusia on Tues., Aug. 9, from 1:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Donors can make an appointment at redcrossblood.or using the cod WMANDY or stop by the store during the drive.
